HoM account question
Hello!
I've been playing GW for few years now, but I have never put anything in HoM. Now, since I can get some points and rewards for GW2, i'll try to collect some items for it. But, I think of doing it account wide, and not with only one character. So, does it count if I put weapons, titles, armors, heroes, pets and minipets with all my characters, or does it have to be one? I know I can get HoM in account view, but can i get points that way? Sorry for my bad English. And thanks for answers in advance. |

Your HoM is account-wide. The credits you earn towards GW2 come from the achievements of ALL of your characters.
You can toggle the entire room from "personal view" to "account view" by talking to the historian, who is just inside the door, on your right. Example: My warrior took a Tormented Shield into the HoM and dedicated it. My Ritualist took a Tormented Staff into the HoM and dedicated it. My account then had 2 weapons in the "Valor" cateogory of http://hom.guildwars2.com |

I have placed 5 elite armours on 5 characters and they all count as if one character added them.
I am getting titles and so on with one character but weapons armour etc on several it doesn't matter to the HOM as the reward is account based. Note be careful about adding duplicate items they do not count for points. If you add a tormented shield with one character adding another one with a second character does nothing. |

It also applies to different req's on the same type of item. Be careful about that, too. Example: My paragon takes a Tormented Command Shield to the HoM and dedicates it. My warrior takes a Tormented Strength Shield to the HoM and dedicates it. My elementalist takes a Tormented Fire Staff to the HoM and dedicates it. My ritualist takes a Tormented Channeling Staff to the HoM and dedicates it. = My account's HoM shows two weapons in the "Valor" category of http://hom.guildwars2.com -- "Tormented Shield" and "Tormented Staff" Another, more painful example: My ranger takes a Tormented Recurve Bow to the HoM and dedicates it. My ranger takes a Tormented Long Bow to the HoM and dedicates it. My ranger takes a Tormented Flat Bow to the HoM and dedicates it. My ranger takes a Tormented Horn Bow to the HoM and dedicates it. My ranger takes a Tormented Short Bow to the HoM and dedicates it. = My account's HoM shows one weapon in the "Valor" category of http://hom.guildwars2.com -- "Tormented Bow" Last edited by Ghull Ka; Dec 13, 2010 at 06:08 PM // 18:08.. |

Please note one thing:
Titles. When hunting titles, you would be advised to focus on one character to benefit from the titles that you get for getting other titles (Legendary Guardian, Vanquisher, Cartographer, Skill hunter etc.). Otherwise, getting all those will take much more work. |

OOH that reminds me... for Titles:
Every one of your toons is automatically given the "Honor" tapestry, so try to bring each of them to the HoM and put up whatever statues they can get. You may be surprised to find out that you qualify for some statues that you didn't even know about. And remember: Not every title has to be maxxed! I was surprised recently when I was able to put in my "Unlucky" title (rank 2 out of 6!) and my "Friend of the Kurzicks" title (rank 4 out of 12!) |

there a couple of title that you dont need to max to become unlocked in HoM. now obviously we not talking about God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals (KOABD) title here, so u need 40 statues @ honor and some non max titles u can add are.....
Lucky Unlcuky Zaishen Gamer Codex there is hero and gladiator titles that dont need to be max also but these are hard to obtain compared to the above. Also other easy titles would be mission titles such as Fow, Undeworld, Deep etc. well worth getting them out of the way first. |

Bear in mind that maxed titles, 30 on a single character, will make that character God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals, which doesn't go into the Hall of Monuments but does carry over to Guild Wars 2 (any of your characters there will be able to wear it). If that matters at all to you.

Thanks. You all helped a lot.
About titles, I'm too lazy to get 30 on one character. I found out I have 8/18 on titles already, linked with all my characters. I'll maybe get few more, so I'll probably have 10/18, but nothing more than that. I already have 6/8 on armors, soon to be 7/8 (I planed on buying elite luxon even before I knew I'll need it for HoM). So, few more hero armors, few minipets and all weapons will get me 30 points, which is enough for me. Thanks again! Thread can be locked/deleted. |

Um, am I the only one who's seen an absurdly large amount of threads asking the exact same questions about the HoM lately? There have been dozens alone with the exact question as this thread. Does anyone else think there should be a sticky, just to prevent so many of the exact same threads from constantly being made? Especially since no one seems to search before asking questions that have been asked a million times before.

Question answered, closing thread.
Ailina - there is a sticky with a lot of HoM information already. If you have any suggestions on improving it - please either post in it's thread or you can PM me or Neo Nugget.
